We are super excited to be adding 2 new Breeds of Chickens this year!

Belgian Bearded D'Uccle Bantam

Mille Fleur, Porcelain, and Golden Neck Varieties

D'uccles make excellent pets and ornamental birds. They only weigh approximately a pound and half as adults. They lay between 100 and 120 tinted/cream colored eggs per year.

The Livestock Conservancy Status - Watch which means there are fewer than 5,000 breeding birds in the U.S., with 10 or fewer primary breeding flocks, and an estimated global population less than 10, 000.

Nankins

Nankins come in both rose and single comb varieties.

Nankins are excellent companions and brooders; they love hatching their own eggs. One of our favorite characteristics of the Nankins is the tendency for males to join in on chick rearing.

They lay between 90 and 100 creamy white eggs per year and weigh in at around 24 ounces as adults.

The Livestock Conservancy Status - Threatened which means there are fewer than 1,000 breeding birds in the U.S., with seven or fewer primary breeding flocks, and an estimated global population less than 5,000.
